Project Manager
Project Manager – 12 month FTC, Hybrid, Birmingham, c£60k
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a well-established financial services organisation. This is a great opportunity to be part of a business delivering meaningful change across both technology and regulatory programmes.
You’ll be responsible for delivering a range of IT/technology and regulatory change projects, working closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure delivery is well managed, well governed, and aligned to wider priorities. You’ll play a key role in taking projects from initiation through to successful implementation and transition into BAU.
This is a hybrid role, with around 2 days per week in the Birmingham office.
What we are looking for:
• Experience delivering projects within financial services
• Strong background in IT/technology and/or regulatory change
• Experience managing budgets and working with senior stakeholders
• Strong understanding of governance, risk, and delivery in a regulated environment
• PRINCE2, APMP or equivalent project management qualification
What you will be doing:
• Leading projects end-to-end, from initiation through to delivery and closure
• Defining scope, objectives, and success criteria, and ensuring clear alignment to business needs
• Developing business cases and managing budgets effectively throughout the project lifecycle
• Creating and maintaining detailed project plans, ensuring milestones and dependencies are tracked
• Managing risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies in a structured and proactive way
• Engaging with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear updates and managing expectations
• Ensuring smooth transition of delivered change into BAU, with appropriate handover and support
