Senior Project Manager - Reinsurance Transformation (UK)

Location: London (Hybrid)

Salary range £82,000 - £100,000 plus benefits.

Our client is a global management and technology consultancy focused on the reinsurance sector. Operating across Europe, the Americas, and Asia‐Pacific, Sanderson are delighted to be supporting them as they rapidly establish themselves as a go‐to partner for large reinsurance organisations, supporting complex transformations.

These roles are well suited to candidates who have either progressed to Manager or Senior Manager level within a management consultancy or have held strategic project or programme management roles within a Reinsurance organisation. You will combine strong delivery credentials with deep industry knowledge and the ability to operate confidently at the intersection of business and technology.

About the Role

As a Manager (Project Manager) within the UK Insurance & Reinsurance practice, you will play a key role in delivering pragmatic, high-impact solutions for clients across the Reinsurance, and Delegated Authority landscape.

You will work across the full insurance value chain — from Underwriting and Risk Engineering through to Distribution, Product Design, Policy Administration, and Claims Management — combining deep industry expertise with strong delivery and leadership capabilities.

This role is ideal for professionals who have either:

• Reached Manager / Senior Manager level within a management consultancy,

or

• Held strategic senior project or programme management roles within a reinsurance organisation

You’ll play a hands‐on leadership role across complex client engagements, helping shape solutions, lead delivery, and mentor teams.

• Lead reinsurance migration and transformation programmes
• Manage client stakeholders and multiple workstreams
• Shape requirements and drive pragmatic, technology‐enabled solutions
• Mentor junior consultants within a flat, collaborative structure
• Contribute to account growth and opportunity identification
• Stay ahead of market trends, particularly in technology and AI

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in reinsurance, from Consultancy, Reinsurers or Insurtechs
• Strong project lifecycle and stakeholder management capability
• A blend of business process and technology understanding
• Exposure to reinsurance platforms is beneficial (e.g. DXC / SICS / Assure Re, Duck Creek, Sonata)
