SC cleared DevOps Engineer Outside IR35

Role: DevOps Engineer Location: London - hybrid Duration: 6 months Rate: £500 outside IR35 Clearance: Candidates must hold active SC and have used it within the last 12 months in another UK government department.

Overview: We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a well-established team working on Public Sector project. This position is suited to someone who is not only technically proficient but also a strong communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills. You will be comfortable working with both central and dispersed stakeholders, showing persistence and influence to drive better ways of working.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Support the migration from Kubernetes to a serverless architecture
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to both technical delivery and stakeholder engagement
• Automate processes to improve operational efficiency and service delivery
• Act as the sole DevOps Engineer within the squad, providing end-to-end engineering support

Essential Skills & Experience:

• CI/CD
• Terraform
• Kafka
• Kubernetes (plus experience migrating away from Kubernetes to serverless)
• GitLab
• GitHub Actions (and ideally GitHub Enterprise)
• AWS services: Lambda, CloudWatch, S3, IAM, Athena, RDS
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Desirable Skills:

• FinOps
• Testing
• Cybersecurity
• Experience working as the sole DevOps Engineer on a project
