Role: Storage and Server Engineer Clearance: SC Cleared Location: Newport OR Portsmouth (Hybrid)Rate: £500 per day (Inside IR35)Contract: 6 months Start Date: June 2026
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong skills in storage, backup, and virtualisation technologies to support a secure enterprise environment. The role will involve maintaining and optimising critical infrastructure services, with a particular focus on storage platforms and backup solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support enterprise storage environments, ensuring availability and performance
- Configure and maintain backup and recovery solutions
- Support virtualisation infrastructure and related storage integration
- Provide general infrastructure support across Windows and Linux server environments
Key Skills & Experience
- NetApp ONTAP / StorageGRID (Volumes, Aggregates, SnapMirror, SnapVault, CIFS/NFS configuration, quotas)
- Veeam Backup & Replication
- Veeam ONE monitoring
- SAN / SAN Fabric technologies
- VMware storage (VMFS, NFS, vVols)
