Senior AI Engineer

The Role This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior AI Engineer to lead a small, high-performing team researching and applying cutting-edge advances in artificial intelligence. You will bridge the gap between state-of-the-art AI research and real-world mission impact, helping clients understand and harness transformative technologies in a secure and sensitive environment.

You will be joining an experienced and collaborative team playing a key role in shaping the AI research direction and delivering innovative, high-trust solutions to our partners.

A current DV clearance is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead AI Research & Innovation: Direct a small technical team to identify, evaluate and adapt the latest developments in generative AI, LLMs, and related technologies.
• Translate Advanced AI Concepts: Communicate complex technical ideas clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that clients understand both the opportunities and limitations of AI technologies.
• Client Engagement & Advisory: Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, providing insight and recommendations on how advanced AI can be responsibly and effectively integrated into their missions.
• Project Delivery & Leadership: Plan, oversee, and deliver high-quality research and development projects. Act as a technical lead and mentor to junior engineers, fostering an environment of curiosity, innovation, and excellence.

You Will Have

• Proven experience working with generative AI, LLMs, or advanced machine learning
• A strong understanding of state-of-the-art AI research and its practical translation into applied systems.
• Excellent customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts simply and clearly.
• Experience leading small technical teams or research groups.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical leadership
• Experience managing internal and external stakeholders across diverse technical and operational environments.
