Experienced Software Engineer, Developer wanted for a Full time for a hybrid/remote role within a leading private sector service.

Hybrid/remote with either 1 day a week or 1 day a month in office.

We're on the lookout for an experienced Software Engineer/Developer with a passion for mentoring to join a high-performing team in a hybrid/remote role for a top-tier within a leading private sector service based in the southeast. This role is perfect for a seasoned software engineer with Experience in C#, .NET and WCF.

The Role:

You will be developing and maintaining Web APIs for a Full Stack roll for a private sector service based in the southeast helping lead junior developers, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement. Whilst implementing and enhancing WCF Services and WinForms UI components.

You will also be providing support for internal and external customers, troubleshooting and resolving software issues.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

As a key member of the development team, you'll play a pivotal role in:

• Developing and maintaining Web APIs and WCF services for a leading private sector service provider in the Southeast.
• Mentoring junior developers, helping them grow through knowledge sharing and leadership.
• Improving and enhancing WinForms UI components, delivering high-quality and user-friendly solutions.
• Conducting thorough code reviews to ensure the highest standards of code quality and consistency.
• Applying Test-Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing to create robust, reliable software.
• Supporting both internal and external customers, helping troubleshoot and resolve technical issues swiftly and effectively.
• Collaborating within an Agile (Scrum) environment, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

What we're looking for:

• strong experience with C# and .NET
• Hands-on experience with WCF services and WinForms UI components.
• Background working within larger Microsoft environments (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
• A passion for mentoring and leadership, with experience guiding junior developers and fostering best practices within a team.
• Experience working in an Agile (Scrum) environment.
