About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Hosting Systems Team Leader to lead a team of System Administrators responsible for delivering secure, high-availability hosted solutions across private and public cloud environments.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role combining team management, infrastructure ownership, and continuous improvement of hosted platforms. You’ll play a key role in ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of critical customer environments.

This opportunity is ideal for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer ready to step into, or continue in, a technical leadership position.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of System Administrators
• Allocate workload and support professional development
• Deliver small-to-medium infrastructure projects
• Act as technical escalation point for complex issues
• Communicate with stakeholders and customers

Cloud & Infrastructure Management

• Administer hosted environments across private and public cloud platforms
• Design scalable, resilient infrastructure
• Ensure high availability and service performance
• Implement disaster recovery and failover solutions
• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues

Platform & Systems Administration

• Windows Server administration in hybrid environments
• Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS management
• Citrix and Remote Desktop platform administration
• Azure Virtual Desktop and cloud-based services
• Troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues

Security & Compliance

• Maintain secure hosting environments
• Patch management and vulnerability remediation
• Backup and recovery management
• Support compliance and security best practices

Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Develop PowerShell automation scripts
• Improve operational efficiency and reduce manual tasks
• Maintain infrastructure documentation

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

• Experience leading or mentoring infrastructure teams
• Strong Windows Server administration experience
• Azure / Cloud infrastructure experience
• Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy
• PowerShell scripting and automation
• Experience managing hosted environments

Highly Desirable

• Citrix NetScaler / Citrix Virtual Apps
• Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
• Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
• SCCM / Configuration Manager
• Monitoring tools (e.g. Zabbix, PRTG, or similar)
• SQL clustering experience
• High availability / disaster recovery design

Experience Required

• 5+ years in senior infrastructure or system administration roles
• Experience working in complex hosted or cloud environments
• Previous team leadership or technical lead experience preferred
