Technical Business Analyst - Data

Job Title: Business Analyst - Data Location: Remote Contract Length: 6 months initially Clearance: BPSS required Day Rate: £400 per day, Inside IR35.

We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a high-profile project with a government organisation.This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a data discovery project - understanding how the business creates, manages, and consumes their data, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Following the discovery phase, you'll move into a consultant BA role, helping shape solutions and advising on best practices. While data experience is valuable, it's not essential, as you may also be asked to support other projects across the team.

• Work closely with the data team to understand current data processes and consumption.

• Identify gaps, opportunities, and recommendations for data improvements.

• Translate complex findings into clear business requirements and actionable insights.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the department.

• Support wider BA activities as projects evolve beyond data discovery.

• Strong Business Analysis experience, ideally within large-scale or public sector programmes.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to quickly understand complex data or business processes.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and move between projects if required.

• BPSS clearance (or willingness to obtain before start).

This is a remote, high-impact contract with the chance to influence data strategy at one of the UK's largest government departments.
