Technical Business Analyst - SC Cleared
Location: Hybrid, London Contract: 3 months initially Daily rate: Circa £400 per day, Inside IR35
Are you a sharp, technical Business Analyst with a passion for data, cloud, and problem-solving? We're looking for someone who can translate complex requirements into clear, actionable solutions.
What you'll be doing-
Collaborating with stakeholders to capture, validate, and translate business and technical requirements.

Using SQL to analyse datasets, identify trends, validate assumptions, and support data-driven decisions.

Working with AWS-based data platforms (e.g., S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue) to support discovery, design and solution shaping.

Mapping current and future-state processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation.

Working with data, engineering, and security teams to ensure solutions meet privacy, governance, and compliance standards.

Leading or supporting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new products, systems, or data integrations.

Creating clear artefacts: user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, data flow diagrams, technical documentation, and impact assessments.

Supporting delivery teams with backlog refinement, prioritisation, and alignment to business outcomes.

Strong experience as a Technical BA in data-driven or cloud-heavy environments.

Hands-on SQL skills for querying, profiling, and analysing data.

Practical exposure to AWS services (e.g., S3, Redshift, EC2, Lambda, RDS, Glue).

Experience with data governance, information security, or privacy workflows.

Knowledge of or direct involvement in Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and confidently.

Background working with Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban).

Excellent stakeholder management and documentation skills.

Knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines or data warehousing concepts.

Familiarity with data modelling or BI tools.

Experience working with cross-functional cloud or platform teams.

Understanding of UK GDPR and broader data protection regulations.
