Test Analyst
Servicenow Test Analyst - £300/£350 per day Outside IR35 - 6 month initial contract - Fully remote
Sanderson is currently partnered with a business who require a ServiceNow Test Analyst who is responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of all solutions deployed on the ServiceNow platform. This role involves end-to-end testing across various ServiceNow modules, leveraging a combination of manual and automated testing techniques. The analyst will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners in an Agile environment to deliver a reliable and high-quality user experience.
Test Planning & Design- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners to analyse requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Define the test scope, objectives, and acceptance criteria for ServiceNow configurations, customisations, and integrations.
- Develop comprehensive test strategies, detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts (both manual and automated) covering functional and non-functional requirements.
- Execute various types of testing, including Functional, System Integration, Regression, UAT support, Performance, and Security testing.
- Focus testing efforts on custom workflows, integrations, and critical business processes within the ServiceNow instance.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts primarily using the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
- Manage the defect lifecycle-identify, document, track, and re-test defects using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Support the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase by coordinating with business stakeholders and providing defect clarification.
- Maintain accurate and detailed test documentation, including test results, test reports, and traceability matrices.
- Provide regular and clear status updates on test progress, defect trends, and overall quality metrics to the project team and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and the test automation framework.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in software testing, with at least 1 year specifically focused on the ServiceNow platform.
- Strong practical experience with the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
- Solid understanding of key ServiceNow modules such as IT Service Management (ITSM), Customer Service Management (CSM), HR Service Delivery (HRSD), or IT Operations Management (ITOM).
- Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, HP ALM).
- Familiarity with test automation tools beyond ATF (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) for cross-platform or integration testing is a plus.
- Basic understanding of ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API) to effectively debug and analyse issues.
