Unified Comms Engineer DV Cleared Outside IR35

Position: Unified Comms EngineerLocation: HerefordshireDay Rate: £500-£525 Outside IR35Security Clearance: DV Cleared

We're supporting a major defence programme and looking for a Unified Communications Network Engineer with deep expertise in secure networking and comms infrastructure. This is a hands-on role in a high-trust environment, ideal for someone who thrives in complex, mission-critical settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and configure unified comms tools like CUCM, Cisco Meeting Server, and Oracle SBC
• Manage and troubleshoot campus and wide area networks
• Maintain Cisco and Juniper firewalls
• Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds, ELASTIC, and Wireshark

Essential Skills:

• Experience with unified comms platforms or willingness to learn
• CCNP Enterprise certified (ENCOR + ideally ENARSI)
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, DMVPN, GRE, IPSEC
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper firewalls
• Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools
