End User Deployment Specialist
Job summary
We are seeking an experienced infrastructure specialist to lead the Trust's End User Device (EUD) software deployment function while contributing to the wider server and storage service.
This Band 7 role combines specialist responsibility for endpoint deployment technologies with advanced third-line infrastructure support. The postholder will ensure secure, reliable and efficient delivery of applications and device configurations across the Trust, supporting both clinical and corporate services.
The role offers the opportunity to influence infrastructure planning, lead technical change initiatives and play a key part in maintaining resilient digital services within a busy acute NHS environment.
Main duties of the job
Lead and develop the Trust's EUD software deployment platform, ensuring secure and effective rollout of operating systems, applications and updates.
Provide advanced third-line technical support across server and infrastructure environments.
Lead the resolution of complex incidents and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
Deliver infrastructure and deployment-related projects, including upgrades and system enhancements.
Provide specialist technical advice to IT colleagues, managers and external partners.
Contribute to infrastructure planning, governance and compliance activities.
Participate in the on-call rota.

Technical Leadership
Act as subject matter expert for endpoint deployment technologies, ensuring platforms remain secure, supported and aligned to organisational needs.
Infrastructure Support
Provide senior-level technical expertise across server and related infrastructure services, including complex troubleshooting and major incident support.
Project Delivery
Plan and deliver technical projects within agreed timescales, ensuring appropriate documentation, testing and governance controls.
Service Improvement
Analyse system performance and trends to identify opportunities for optimisation and resilience.
Stakeholder Engagement
Communicate complex technical information clearly to a range of stakeholders and work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams.
Person Specification
Experience
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role
- NHS Informatics experience
Qualifications
- Microsoft qualifications in relevant disciplines
- Industry recognised qualifications - COMPTIA or similar
- Degree or vocational qualification in relevant discipline
