Operational Procurement Team Leader
Job summary
As the Operational Procurement Team Leader, you will be based in our busy operational Procurement team, supporting the Head of Local Delivery in maintaining Oracle P2P system to allow the effective purchase of goods and services throughout the Trust. The daily maintenance, security and general administration of the Procurement aspect of the Oracle system application is key to standardising our purchases across the Trust, helping to improve patient safety, whilst also providing an effective service that delivers on-going cost efficiencies and benefits. The role will include engaging with multiple stakeholders, both internally with clinical and contracting colleagues and externally with suppliers, systems support and colleagues from other Trust.You will also be helping to support the integrations of the existing systems with our new Inventory Management System, which is currently in the implementation stage.
Please note - this role will be based at Russells Hall Hospital - Dudley.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the Operational Procurement Team Leader will include engagement with multiple stakeholders to develop and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the Trust's Procurement system.Helping to ensure that purchase orders are placed for goods and services in line with the Trusts Standing Financial Instructions to achieve best value and improving patient safety.To investigate and evaluate new and existing sources of supply for all products and services as appropriate, including NHS Supply Chain, Crown Commercial Services and other Procurement Collaborative Purchasing Hubs.

Experience
- Understanding of P2P systems
Experience
- Experience of Updating catalogues on P2P Systems
Experience
- Ability to produce commercial reports from the P2P system

- Strong verbal and written skills (inc. report writing) and Solid personal presentation skills

- Computer literate and detailed knowledge of basic computer packages e.g. Microsoft Office, Internet and Access based equipment scheduling and ordering systems.

- Can manage multiple projects simultaneously, can prioritise well and enjoys working on complex projects

- Sound commercial knowledge

- Knowledge additional P2P systems, e.g. Integra

- Experience of working within the NHS and an understanding of current issues.
Qualifications
- Maths & English at CSE grade 1/Diploma/NVQ3 IT information/ ECDL (European Computer Driving License or relevant experience with P2P system.
