Account Director
A global brand, marketing and communications agency built around deep sector specialisation is seeking a PR Account Director to help lead its technology practice. Known for intelligent insight and rigorous execution, the agency works with clients ranging from household names to high-growth startups across telecoms, AI, cybersecurity, digital infrastructure and emerging technologies. This is a senior role with real commercial weight: the successful candidate will own key client relationships, lead integrated programmes, play a central part in managing the team and support the commercial growth of the practice.
Role
- Help lead integrated communications programmes across a portfolio of technology clients, spanning telecoms, AI, cybersecurity, digital infrastructure
- Own and develop senior client relationships, providing expert strategic counsel across all aspects of brand, marketing and communications
- Translate complex technical subject matter into clear, compelling narratives for a range of audiences and channels
- Drive new business development, from lead generation through to pitch and conversion
- Manage and develop high-performing account teams, setting standards for quality and fostering a culture of growth
- Act as a senior voice in shaping the direction and evolution of the technology practice
- Handle sensitive client issues with confidence, protecting relationships and reputation under pressure
- Collaborate across the agency's global network to deliver integrated campaigns with international reach
Requirements
- Proven track record at Account Director level or equivalent within a communications, PR or integrated marketing agency
- Deep knowledge of the technology sector, with experience across areas such as enterprise tech, AI, cybersecurity or digital infrastructure - some energy/ climate tech experience is a bonus!
- Demonstrated ability to own senior client relationships and provide strategic counsel at board or C-suite level
- Strong new business instinct, with experience generating leads and leading pitches
- Excellent media relations skills, with an established network of relevant technology and business press contacts
- A strong writer and communicator, comfortable working across long-form, earned and digital formats
- Experience managing and mentoring teams, with a track record of developing talent
- Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment where initiative is valued
