Databricks Platform Expert
We are looking for an experienced Databricks Platfrom Expert to support a client as they transition from Proof of Concept (PoC) into full-scale implementation and enterprise adoption. This is a hands-on role requiring both technical expertise and the ability to guide stakeholders on best practice platform adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, and implementation of the Databricks platform
- Support the transition from PoC into production environments
- Define scalable data and analytics architectures
- Establish best practices for governance, security, performance, and cost optimisation
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to drive platform adoption
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to internal teams
- Support integration with wider cloud and data ecosystems
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience with Databricks
- Experience leading Databricks implementations beyond PoC stage
- Deep understanding of modern data platforms, data engineering, and analytics
- Experience with Azure Databricks, AWS Databricks, or Databricks on GCP
- Strong knowledge of data architecture, governance, and platform optimisation
- Ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience developing adoption strategies and operating models is highly desirable
Desirable
- Databricks certifications
- Experience within regulated environments
- Knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, and advanced analytics workloads
