WordPress Developer (Elementor Specialist)
Company: Saturate Marketing
Location: Office-based, Hertford, UK (Non-negotiable)
Type: Full-time
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (Dependent on experience)
The Role
Saturate Marketing is an expanding digital marketing agency and a proud member of The Counterpoint Group. We are looking for a middleweight WordPress Developer with a sharp eye for design to join our Hertford studio.
You will be the vital link between our Design and Marketing teams. Your mission is to build high-converting, "lightning-fast" websites that serve as the foundation for our SEO, PPC andGEO campaigns. While we follow a "no-code" policy where possible for efficiency, you must possess a deep proficiency in HTML and CSS to bridge the gap between Elementor’s capabilities and bespoke design requirements and have the technical depth to manage server-side logic and custom data structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance-First Build: Develop pixel-perfect, responsive sites using Elementor Pro and Gutenberg. You must ensure every build is optimised for speed (Core Web Vitals) to support high-level marketing activity.
- Dynamic Logic: Architect complex site structures using Crocoblock (JetEngine) or ACF (Custom Post Types, Relations, and Dynamic Visibility).
- Site Migrations: Safely manage site migrations from staging to live environments, and from external platforms (Wix, Squarespace, Shopify) into WordPress.
- Reactive Troubleshooting: Act as the first line of defence for site errors, plugin conflicts, and server-side issues.
- Technical SEO Support: Implement advanced caching strategies and performance optimisations to ensure peak site velocity.
- Collaboration: Work with Designers to ensure UI feasibility and with the Marketing team to ensure tracking (GTM/GA4) and SEO structures are flawless.
Skills & Experience
- The Tech Stack: Expert-level WordPress, Elementor Pro, and the Crocoblock suite.
- Performance Knowledge: Deep understanding of caching (WP Rocket, Object Cache, etc.), CDN setup, and image optimisation.
- Design Eye: An intuitive grasp of padding, typography, and layout. You must be able to match a Figma/Adobe design exactly.
- Technical Base: Proficiency in CSS and a functional understanding of PHP.
- Platform Flex: Ability to navigate and troubleshoot existing client sites on Shopify, Wix, or Squarespace.
Office, Culture & Benefits
We believe the best creative work happens in person. You’ll join a collaborative, high-energy team where your input shapes our projects from day one.
- Hardware: A high-spec MacBook Pro setup.
- Training Budget: A dedicated annual budget for professional development (courses, certifications, and tech events).
- The Environment: A professional, focused workspace in Hertford with a shared passion for growth and great design.
