We are currently recruiting for an experienced Data Governance Consultant/Data Governance Engineer to join a major telecommunications programme based in Greater London.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in establishing and implementing enterprise-wide data governance capabilities across a modern Google Cloud environment, working with business, architecture and engineering teams on a large-scale transformation programme.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement enterprise Data Governance frameworks and operating models.
- Define data quality standards, governance controls and stewardship processes.
- Implement metadata management, business glossary and data lineage capabilities.
- Deliver policy tagging, data classification and compliance controls.
- Implement data contracts and governance policies.
- Drive adoption of governance best practices using Google Cloud Dataplex and Atlan.
- Collaborate with business, engineering and compliance teams to ensure regulatory and audit compliance.
Essential Skills
- Strong Data Governance experience within large enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Dataplex.
- Experience with Atlan Data Catalog.
- Data Lineage and Impact Analysis.
- Metadata Management.
- Data Contracts.
- Policy Tagging and Data Classification.
- Data Quality Management.
- Data Stewardship and Governance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Telecommunications industry experience.
- DCAM or DAMA CDMP certification.
- Experience with Collibra or other enterprise data governance platforms.
- Experience designing enterprise governance operating models.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and analytics ecosystems.
