Google Workspace Admin Support Consultant
Our client is currently executing a major digital transformation, migrating their entire ecosystem from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace. As migration waves go live, ensuring users feel supported is the highest priority. We are seeking a Google Workspace Admin Support Consultant to act as a critical bridge during this transition. In this role, you will provide day-to-day 2nd/3rd line support, hands-on onboarding assistance, and platform administration.
Core Responsibilities
- User Support & Onboarding: Provide day-to-day 2nd/3rd line support across Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Docs, and Meet. Deliver patient, hands-on orientation and account setup assistance for each migration wave.
- Platform Administration: Navigate and manage the Google Workspace Admin Console, handling user and Organisational Unit (OU) management, licensing, and basic security/DLP settings.
- Technical Escalation: Methodically diagnose platform or configuration issues, escalating and liaising with the core migration technical team when complex bugs arise.
- Knowledge Transfer & Documentation: Document recurring issues, solutions, and FAQs to build a robust knowledge base. Actively support knowledge transfer to the permanent support team before the engagement concludes.
- Crisis Management: Maintain a calm, professional, and patient service demeanor during high-pressure, peak migration-wave periods.
What We Need From You
- Google Workspace Expertise: Proven practical experience supporting and administering Google Workspace apps in an enterprise environment.
- Migration Experience: Background supporting large collaboration-platform migrations. Direct experience with Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace transitions.
- Admin Console Capability: Full confidence managing users, OUs, licensing, and basic security/DLP administration.
- Strong Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose user, account, configuration, and platform issues quickly and methodically.
- Exceptional Soft Skills: Extreme patience and professionalism when supporting users who are completely unfamiliar with Google Workspace or under pressure.
- Communication & Ownership: Ability to translate complex technical issues into straightforward language, paired with a strong sense of ownership to follow issues through to resolution.
- Documentation Discipline: A track record of capturing technical solutions cleanly to enable successful team handovers.
