ICT Operations Site Lead - Battersea Power Station, London
Purpose of the Role
Battersea Power Station is a technology-driven estate where ICT infrastructure underpins every operational service. As ICT Operations & Service Delivery Lead, you act as the central point of technical and operational control — bridging suppliers, projects, and management. Your oversight ensures the estate’s systems remain resilient, secure, and future-ready, delivering uninterrupted service to all occupiers and stakeholders.
The ICT Operations & Service Delivery Lead is responsible for the operational integrity and performance of all ICT systems across the Battersea Power Station estate. The role blends technical oversight with service delivery management — ensuring network reliability, working with suppliers, and maintaining service excellence across one of London’s most complex mixed-use developments.Working alongside the ICT Service Delivery Manager, the postholder acts as the key operational contact for all ICT activity, overseeing technical changes, coordinating service partners, and supporting the delivery of infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Operational
· Lead day-to-day operations of the Battersea Power Station ICT environment, ensuring reliability, availability, and security of networked systems.
· Act as the first point of contact and on-site lead for 3rd party network and desktop support teams, overseeing delivery, troubleshooting, and infrastructure changes whilst ensuring best value for money.
· Approve and oversee technical change activity, including VLAN configuration, switch port management, and Wi-Fi access deployments, ensuring all work is completed in line with CAB processes and estate standards.
· Participate in the Change Advisory Board (CAB), reviewing and authorising proposed ICT changes to maintain operational stability and security compliance in accordance with policies and procedures.
· Coordinate and track incident response and service requests with third-party partners, ensuring timely resolution and accurate documentation.
· Support and coordinate ICT projects, upgrades, and mobilisation activities, balancing project schedules with operational priorities.
· Conduct regular operational reviews, supplier meetings, and service audits to ensure technical and contractual compliance.
· Maintain the relevant Asset Registers, configuration database, and network documentation and update policies and procedures as required.
· Oversee converged systems including Wi-Fi, DAS, PMRS, Satellite TV, telephony, and footfall analytics, ensuring uptime and resilience across the estate.
· Liaise with internal departments, tenants, and stakeholders to ensure ICT services meet business and operational needs.
· Identify risks, capacity issues, and opportunities for optimisation, presenting improvement recommendations to management.
· Deputise for the ICT Service Delivery Manager during periods of absence, maintaining full operational continuity, managing escalations, coordinating suppliers, and reporting directly to the Head of Technical Services where required.
· Provide advice and guidance across the estate to all stakeholders on IT policies and procedures supporting service charge contributors with expert advice
Leadership & Development
· Provide technical direction and oversight to service partners, ensuring consistent quality and compliance with Battersea standards.· Promote proactive fault management and innovation across the ICT service environment.· Support process development, documentation, and improvement of operational resilience.· Contribute to the ongoing development of the ICT service strategy, supporting the continuous improvement of operations and positioning the role for future growth and expanded responsibility within the Battersea Power Station ICT function.· Maintain Risk Register in relation to ICT and highlight/escalate major risks to Management
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
· Strong working knowledge of converged network environments — VLAN design, switching, Wi-Fi systems, structured cabling, and power delivery.
· Familiarity with Cisco infrastructure and general understanding of network management tools and monitoring platforms.
· Practical understanding of incident, problem, and change management under ITIL principles
· Experienced in coordinating supplier activity and validating technical changes in live environments.· Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
· Methodical, organised, and service-oriented with a focus on reliability, security, and continuous improvement.

Working Hours - 9.00 – 5.30 Monday to Friday (with flexibility)
Salary - £35,000 – £38,000
