Lead Software Engineer
Remote | Up to $150k (paid in stablecoins)
Saxon is working with one of our portfolio companies to hire a Lead Engineer to help build next-generation on-chain financial infrastructure.
This is not a typical Web3 role.
You'll be architecting core financial systems including vault mechanics, reward engines, token supply logic, and distributed backend infrastructure supporting a blockchain-native product.
We're looking for someone who thinks in systems and architecture, not just features.
What You'll Work On• Designing distributed backend systems
• Building reward engines and allocation logic
• Architecting vault accounting and financial primitives
• Implementing token mechanics (mint/burn, supply models)
• Developing off-chain services interacting with blockchain infrastructure
• Reviewing contractor code and maintaining engineering standards
• Ensuring clean repo architecture and long-term maintainability
What We're Looking For• Strong backend engineering experience (Go, Rust, Python, TypeScript or similar)
• Experience designing distributed systems at production scale
• Familiarity with DeFi mechanics or blockchain infrastructure
• Systems-thinking mindset and architectural ownership
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment
Nice to Have• Experience with DAML
• Exposure to Haskell
• Smart contract development
• DeFi protocol design or tokenomics understanding
• Experience working with financial infrastructure
Compensation: Up to $150k (stablecoin payments)
Location: Fully Remote
