A rapidly scaling health-tech organisation (Series A funded) is seeking an exceptional Head of Web to lead the architecture, development, and future direction of its core web platform.
If you're a deeply experienced React + TypeScript engineer who wants to build technology that directly shapes how clinicians make decisions at the point of care - this role will excite you.
The Opportunity
You will own the entire web ecosystem - setting engineering best practice, leading platform direction, and working alongside a team of clinician-engineers building the next generation of AI-powered clinical knowledge tools.
This isn't a large corporate environment. You'll have full autonomy, influence, and the ability to make engineering decisions that impact healthcare professionals globally.
What You'll Do
- Own web architecture, development, and deployment
- Lead development using React + TypeScript
- Improve reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Drive technical roadmap and best practices (testing, CI/CD, security)
- Collaborate closely across mobile, backend, and product teams
- Mentor engineers and help shape a world-class engineering culture
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years' professional software engineering experience
- Deep expertise with React + TypeScript
- Proven ownership of complex production web applications
- Strong architectural and design understanding
- Excellent problem-solving and code quality standards
Desirable: AWS, GraphQL, Tailwind, healthcare/regulated environments, security standards (HIPAA/GDPR/NHS DTAC).
