Scalers are working in partnership with a high growth FinTech Scale-Up in the UK and we are working with them to hire a Database Reliability Engineer on a contractual basis from initially 3-6 Months.

The project involves Mongodb migration from one GCP environment to a new GCP environment. Experience in Google Cloud (ideally) with CI/CD practices in Gitlab and deployment of new Mongodb instances, backup/restore processes and data migration.

The ideal candidate will be a (Postgres) database engineer with experience doing database technology migrations from elastic/cassandra. Google Cloud experience with Cloud SQL with deployment of instances, backup/restore and data migration

Experienced required

• NoSql (MongoDB)
• Postgres
• PaaS database services GCP/AWS/Azure
• GitOps (Gitlab/ArgoCD)
• Ansible
• RabbitMQ or other integration services
• Experience running databases in public cloud and ideally with database PaaS services
