About the Role

ANS/Sci-Net are expanding our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central practice and are looking for a passionate Business Central Pre-Sales Consultant to join our high-performing team.

You will play a critical role in shaping customer success — leading functional discovery, designing solutions, delivering high-impact demos, and supporting the wider sales organisation to win and retain customers across multiple verticals.

This is an opportunity to work with one of the UK's leading MBSD partners, Inner Circle members, and ISV creators for retail, furniture, trade, and omnichannel.

Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Sales & Sales Enablement

  • Lead functional discovery sessions with prospective customers to understand business processes, pain points, and requirements.
  • Support the sales team throughout the full sales cycle, from qualification to close.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored, high-quality demonstrations of Business Central, our vertical IP, and complementary technologies.
  • Create demo scripts, customer scenarios, and proof-of-concepts aligned to the customer's industry and challenges.
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs with clear, compelling, scalable solution narratives.
  • Work with Account Managers and Solution Architects on solution shaping, scope, and implementation estimates.
  • Present ANS/Sci-Net value propositions, best-practice approaches, and ROI benefits confidently to senior stakeholders.

Functional Expertise

  • Strong understanding of Business Central core modules:
  • Financials (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Banking)
  • Supply Chain, Purchasing, Inventory
  • Sales Order Processing, Returns, and Customer Service
  • Warehousing & Logistics
  • Manufacturing, planning, or retail experience is a bonus
  • Ability to map end-to-end business processes and translate them into practical system solutions.
  • Experience tailoring demos and solution walkthroughs to different industries — ideally retail, furniture, trade or wholesale.

Technical & Product Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of Business Central configuration, capabilities, and limitations.
  • Ability to interpret extensions, integrations, and ISV add-ons (e.g., LS Retail, Tasklet, Continia, Cosmos).
  • High-level knowledge of AL extensions and the modern BC app model (you do NOT need to code, simply understand the concepts).
  • Understanding of SaaS architecture, environments, updates, ALM, and Microsoft's roadmap.
  • Ability to translate customer technical needs into solution options and discuss them with Solution Architects.

Demo Excellence

  • Build, maintain, and enhance demo environments using best practice data, scripts, and vertical scenarios.
  • Confident, structured demo delivery — storytelling, benefits-driven, and aligned to customer goals.
  • Ability to challenge customer thinking and position modern SaaS best practice.
  • Work closely with the ISV/Product team to showcase vertical IP and future roadmap.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work hand-in-hand with Sales, Solution Architecture, Delivery, ISV/Product, Support, and Account Management.
  • Present clearly to both senior technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to build trust quickly and position ANS/Sci-Net as a strategic partner.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years experience in a similar Pre-Sales, Consultant, or Functional role in Business Central or NAV.
  • Strong customer-facing and presentation skills.
  • Excellent understanding of SaaS-based ERP and Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Experience within a Microsoft Gold/MBSD/Inner Circle partner (ideal but not essential).
  • Industry experience in retail, furniture, trade, or wholesale is a significant bonus.
