Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Solutions Architect. As a Business Central Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for defining and governing solution architecture across customer projects & ISV solution design & oversight.
This role ensures Sci‐Net and ANS maintain modern Microsoft‐aligned engineering standards across Business Central SaaS, DevOps, CI/CD, testing, integrations, and solution delivery.
Role Responsibilities
The Solution Architect role has a varied set of responsibilities and may vary to align with new technologies and best practice. The summary of key responsibilities are:
· Lead solution architecture for complex Business Central SaaS implementations.
· Work with the Development Process Lead to govern AL development standards, patterns, extensibility models, and code quality.
· Mentor the development team and provide technical leadership.
· Help evolve Sci‐Net’s ISV/vertical applications and AppSource solutions.
· Help refine Sci-Net’s Azure DevOps strategy, CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, automated builds, and deployments.
· Introduce and maintain automated testing frameworks using AL Test Tool.
· Drive performance optimisation using telemetry, monitoring, and diagnostics.
· Support sales and presales with solution validation and architectural oversight.
· Engage directly with customers to clarify technical requirements and present solution designs.
· Collaborate with ANS cloud, data, and security teams to leverage broader capabilities.
Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central SaaS and earlier NAV versions.
- Strong architectural understanding of AL development, extensions, events, APIs, and upgrade-safe design.
- Experience working with Azure DevOps, source control, and CI/CD pipelines in a Business Central context.
- Practical understanding of AppSource requirements, with a focus on developing hands-on capability.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting customer-facing solution design and large-scale ERP implementations.
