Vice President - Infrastructure Architect. on-premise infrastructure, AWS, cloud platforms, hybrid cloud architectures, Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform), Scripting (Python, Shell), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), compute virtualization, hypervisors, Windows, Linux, networking, network/security principles, cloud security, serverless computing (AWS Lambda), AWS monitoring and logging, third-party storage and Firewall, risk management.

Role Snapshot

Lead the architecture and evolution of hybrid data-centre and AWS cloud platforms. You'll deliver high-level solutions, drive Infrastructure-as-Code adoption, and shape infrastructure strategy while collaborating with enterprise, application, security, engineering, and operations teams

Key Responsibilities

• Design and author high-level solution blueprints and conceptual architectures

• Architect hybrid hosting platforms (on-prem + AWS) around key business needs

• Implement and govern IaC via CloudFormation or Terraform

• Guide migrations, performance tuning, cost optimisation, and security compliance

• Define and own infrastructure strategy, roadmaps & reference architectures

• Collaborate across disciplines and provide technical leadership

• Introduce efficiencies, share knowledge, and maintain best practices in evolving environments

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Proven experience designing and delivering complex infrastructure (cloud, data centre, hybrid)

• Deep AWS knowledge along with networking, security principles, compute virtualization, and risk management

• Strong communicator capable of explaining architecture to varied stakeholders

• Experience partnering with enterprise, application, security architects and operations/engineering functions

Desirable Qualifications

• Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC

• Experience with IaC tools, containerisation (Docker/K8s), Windows/Linux OS, databases, hybrid workflows

• Familiarity with third-party tools, storage, Firewalls, cloud security frameworks, Scripting (Python/Shell)

• Experience optimising AWS costs and performance, including serverless and container platforms
