London - Hybrid 2-3 days per week | Permanent | £130,000 - £160,000 + up to 30% bonus
Head of Solution & Platform Architecture required to lead a large-enterprise architecture practice across cloud, infrastructure, networks, applications, integration and shared technology platforms.
This is not a senior project architect or programme-by-programme consulting role. The requirement is for sustained ownership of an architecture function: standards, reusable patterns, design authority, governance, cross-domain service architecture and technology roadmaps.
The strongest candidates will already be operating, or have recently operated, at Head/senior architecture-function leadership level within a large, complex enterprise environment.
Key skills/experience required for the Head of Solution & Platform Architecture:
- Solution/Platform Architecture practice leadership
- Cross-domain architecture: cloud, infrastructure, network, application, integration and platform services
- Design authority, architecture governance and standards
- Reference architectures, reusable patterns and technology roadmaps
- End-to-end service architecture and integration across technology domains
- Technology simplification/rationalisation
- Enterprise Architecture and senior stakeholder engagement
- Large established enterprise environments plus modern cloud/platform transformation
- Evidence of building or maturing the capability and continuing to run and improve it
London hybrid, normally 2-3 days per week. Permanent. Unrestricted UK Right to Work required; no sponsorship.
