Scout Global are partnering with a fast-growing global cybersecurity vendor to hire a Solutions Engineer to support enterprise customers across markets including industrial, healthcare, energy, and infrastructure.
This is a high-impact, customer-facing technical role where you will act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle, helping organisations design and implement cybersecurity solutions that protect complex operational and IT environments.
Key responsibilities include:
• Acting as the primary technical advisor during the sales process
• Running technical discovery sessions to understand customer environments and security challenges
• Delivering compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations to technical and executive stakeholders
• Managing and executing Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and technical evaluations
• Designing scalable cybersecurity solutions that integrate with existing infrastructure such as SIEM, firewalls, asset management platforms, virtualization systems, and cloud environments
• Supporting technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires
• Staying current on industry trends, emerging threats, and evolving security technologies
• Representing the organisation at industry events, customer workshops, and technical briefings
What You'll bring:
• 5+ years in a Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Solutions Architecture role
• Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles alongside Account Executives
• Background within cybersecurity, networking, industrial technology, or enterprise SaaS environments
• Willingness to travel occasionally (approx. 10–20%)
Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, segmentation)
• Experience with core cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability management, and threat detection
• Familiarity with virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS or Azure is beneficial
