The Role

As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development and enhancement of software for advanced autonomous platforms. Working within a collaborative engineering team, you'll help create robust, high-performance applications while supporting the ongoing evolution of existing software products.

This position offers the chance to work on technically challenging projects from concept through to deployment, using modern software engineering practices in a highly innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software solutions for complex engineering systems.
• Develop new features and functionality for next-generation autonomous platforms.
• Support and enhance existing software applications and codebases.
• Produce clean, maintainable and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to software architecture, design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with software testing, debugging and validation activities.

About You

We're looking for a passionate software engineer with strong problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in developing high-quality software for advanced technology applications.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or another relevant technical discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
• Strong commercial experience developing applications in C++, including modern C++ standards (C++11 or later).
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software architecture.
• Experience developing backend software and server-side applications.
• Knowledge of control systems or real-time software development would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with modern web technologies and frontend development concepts.
• Experience working with technologies such as JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS, XML and JSON.
• Comfortable developing software within both Windows and Linux environments.

The role offers 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.
