Senior Backend Software Engineer

Up to £70,000 + 15% Bonus + Stock Options

Join a fast-growing tech company that's reimagining how modern marketplaces are built. We're looking for a hands-on Senior Backend Engineer to help evolve a highly scalable platform powered by microservices and a cutting-edge cloud stack.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and build robust, scalable backend services within a service-oriented architecture.
• Work closely with product, design, and fellow engineers to take features from concept to delivery.
• Own your outcomes—write clean, reliable code that solves real-world problems.
• Help shape engineering practices and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate with a remote-first, high-performing team across time zones.

Tech Stack:

Kotlin, Java (or other JVM), Spring Boot, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, CI/CD pipelines. Experience in Go, Python, or C# also welcomed.

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of backend experience in production environments.
• Comfort working in microservices and cloud-based architectures.
• A passion for writing quality code, learning, and improving team processes.
• Experience collaborating in distributed teams.
