Data Analyst

The company:

This client is a fast‑growing, Manchester‑headquartered technology business that specialises in privacy‑first measurement of real‑world digital behaviour. They build software and data products that help some of the world’s leading research, media and technology organisations understand what people actually do across apps, websites, streaming services and e‑commerce, rather than what they say they do.

Key responsibilities:

  • Use SQL extensively to analyse and interrogate large datasets.
  • Build dashboards and reports in BI tools (e.g. QuickSight, Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
  • Turn data into clear, actionable insights for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Work across multiple business areas to understand how teams operate and what they need from data.
  • Partner with Data Ops to monitor the health of data and products.
  • Perform system diagnostics in a programmatic environment, pinpointing the root cause when something breaks.

What we’re looking for

  • Excellent SQL skills – confident writing and debugging complex queries.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience building dashboards / reports in at least one modern BI tool.
  • A few years’ experience in a data analyst role.
  • Comfortable working independently, managing your own workload and driving delivery.
  • Python for data analysis is a nice to have, not essential.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working across multiple business units or domains.
  • Commercial experience using Python for data analysis (e.g. data wrangling, automation, exploratory analysis)
  • Background in a data‑heavy tech, analytics or market research environment.
  • Exposure to AWS and/or QuickSight.

You’ll be a great fit if…

  • You’re independent, self‑driven and happy being the “go‑to” analyst for different teams.
  • You’re curious and proactive, especially when it comes to diagnosing and fixing issues.
  • You communicate clearly and can explain complex findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • You’re looking for a long‑term move in a close‑knit, supportive team rather than a short stop‑gap.

Permanent residency in the UK is required, and the client is looking for someone who wants to grow with the business over the long term.
