Full Stack Engineer
We’re working with a fast-growing, well-funded organization using AI to transform how real-world businesses plan and staff their operations. They’ve already built a large, flexible workforce network and are now combining it with an AI-driven scheduling and forecasting platform that’s growing rapidly in the UK and preparing to expand internationally.
They’re now looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join a cross-functional product pod. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers and other engineers to plan, build and maintain the core systems that power the platform – from backend services and data flows through to APIs and front-end features.
What you’ll be doing
- Collaborating with Product, Design and Engineering to solve real problems for external users and internal teams.
- Building, testing and shipping new features across the backend stack with clean, scalable architecture in mind.
- Designing and evolving APIs, data flows and integrations as the platform scales.
- Monitoring and maintaining production systems to ensure a fast, reliable user experience.
- Helping define and uphold coding standards that balance speed and quality so the team can move fast without breaking things.
- Sharing knowledge, pairing with other developers and helping to raise the technical bar across the team.
Tech you’ll work with
- Backend: Python (Django), Go, GraphQL
- Front end / apps: Flutter
- Infrastructure: Kubernetes (EKS), AWS
- Tooling & Ops: GitLab CI/CD, Datadog, Terraform
About you
- Degree in a technical subject (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Maths) or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of commercial, production-level software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with Go and/or Python, plus at least one modern front-end or mobile framework (ideally Flutter).
- Comfortable working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL).
- Some experience or exposure to AWS, Terraform, GraphQL or gRPC.
- Familiar with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
- Clear communicator who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Curious, hands-on and eager to learn new technologies.
- Thrives in a high-energy, fast-changing startup environment; experience in a fast-growth or top-tier tech company is a plus.
