Full Stack Engineer (Python) – AI Insurtech

Our client, a fast-growing AI Insurtech startup backed by recent Series A funding, is looking for a highly hands-on Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build and scale the next generation of insurance technology platforms.

This is a high-impact role where engineers are trusted to shape both product and technical decisions, not simply execute tickets. You’ll play a key role during a critical growth phase as the business scales its platform, product capabilities, and engineering team.

While the environment is backend-leaning with Python, this is a true full stack engineering role. The team is specifically looking for engineers who enjoy contributing across backend, frontend, infrastructure, architecture, and product development depending on business priorities.

They need someone pragmatic, adaptable, and execution-focused — an engineer who enjoys solving real product problems, moving quickly, and taking ownership from concept through to production.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building and scaling core platform features used in production
• Working hands-on across backend, frontend, and infrastructure
• Owning features end-to-end from idea through deployment and iteration
• Collaborating closely with product and design teams on functionality, usability, and customer experience
• Making practical technical decisions with a strong focus on delivery, scalability, and maintainability
• Improving platform performance, reliability, and engineering quality
• Contributing within a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment with high ownership and autonomy
• Helping shape engineering standards, product direction, and technical decisions as the company scales

Tech Environment

• Python
• React or Angular
• Cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• Modern APIs and scalable application architecture
• AI-driven workflows and automation platforms

What They’re Looking For

• 5–8 years of commercial software engineering experience with strong Python expertise
• Strong full stack engineering experience including React or Angular
• Proven experience building and shipping production-grade products
• Comfortable moving across different parts of the stack depending on business needs
• Strong understanding of scalable system design and modern engineering practices
• Product-minded with a practical, problem-solving approach
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and fast-changing startup environments
• Engineers who enjoy being highly hands-on and close to product delivery

Nice to Have

• Startup or scale-up experience
• Exposure to insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries
• Experience working within product-led engineering teams
• Exposure to AI-driven products or automation platforms
