D365 Indirect Tax Director – Global Consulting | ERP & Tax Technology

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding global consulting business, is hiring a Director of D365 & Indirect Tax Technology to help build and scale a multi-partner Microsoft tax practice. This is a senior hire responsible for both business development and hands-on delivery of large-scale Dynamics 365 implementations.

This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes Microsoft Dynamics, understands ERP and indirect tax deeply, and can bridge the gap between technical solutioning and commercial go-to-market strategies.

You’ll work with leading global brands, drive complex D365 transformations, and play a pivotal role in shaping a high-growth practice.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and deliver enterprise-scale D365 implementations, including full back-office and multi-entity setups.
• Guide indirect tax technology design across Dynamics, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and seamless integration.
• Own go-to-market efforts: generate cold leads, nurture Microsoft ecosystem relationships, and manage early-stage client conversations.
• Drive business development alongside partners—this role requires both BD and delivery, not one or the other.
• Collaborate with consulting teams on project execution, GTM planning, and scaling tax technology offerings.
• Engage with C-suite and senior finance leaders across global clients in TMT, Media, Entertainment, and consumer industries.
• Contribute to the growth of a multi-partner Microsoft tax business, shaping service lines, offerings, and market positioning.

What You’ll Bring

• Deep experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations preferred) — known by clients for strong D365 credibility.
• Solid ERP background across SAP, Oracle, or similar, with the ability to retrain fully into D365 if needed.
• Proven experience in indirect tax technology, tax engines, and finance transformation.
• Director-level capability: comfortable leading delivery while driving commercial outcomes.
• Strong business development track record — able to originate new opportunities, leverage existing networks, and run 1st–3rd stage BD conversations.
• Demonstrated success delivering D365 or major ERP programme within consulting.
• Experience working with large, global clients and multi-region implementations.
• Ability to operate in an evolving multi-partner environment and connect technical delivery with commercial strategy.
