Senior Manager – Tax Technology Transformation | London (Hybrid)
Our client is a leading professional services organization to appoint a Senior Manager into its growing Tax Technology & Transformation team.
This is a highly visible leadership role sitting at the intersection of tax, technology, and business transformation. The successful individual will help drive the adoption of market-leading technology platforms and technology-enabled solutions across a broad Tax & Law environment, working closely with both internal stakeholders and external clients.
The team forms part of a specialist Tax Technology & Transformation function focused on helping service lines leverage technology to modernise delivery, improve operational efficiency, and create scalable technology-enabled solutions. This role requires someone who can quickly establish credibility, navigate complex stakeholder environments, and drive measurable change from day one.
What you'll be doing:
This is a diverse role with responsibility split across client delivery, internal transformation, and team leadership.
Approximately 40% of your time will be spent working directly with external clients, acting as a senior technology lead on engagements, supporting solution design, delivering demonstrations, managing onboarding activities, and helping clients embed technology into their tax operating models.
Around 30% of the role focuses on internal transformation initiatives, partnering with senior stakeholders to drive platform adoption across service lines, leading workshops, shaping technology strategies, and scaling technology-enabled solutions throughout the business.
The remaining 30% centers on leadership responsibilities, including coaching and developing team members, resource planning, workload management, capability building, and supporting the continued growth of the function.
You'll manage a portfolio of transformation initiatives, monitor adoption and success metrics, influence change management programmes, and work closely with product and technology teams to continuously enhance existing solutions. The role requires someone who can think on their feet, respond quickly to changing project requirements, resolve issues as they arise, and maintain momentum across multiple workstreams.
What they're looking for:
A strong background within Tax, Tax Technology, or a Big 4/professional services environment is considered essential.
You'll have experience leading technology or transformation initiatives, managing senior stakeholder relationships, and driving adoption of new platforms, products, or operating models across large organizations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in fast-paced environments where priorities can shift quickly and will have a track record of taking ownership of complex programmes and delivering measurable outcomes.
Experience scaling technology products or platforms within a business, leading change initiatives, and defining success measures will be highly valuable. Exposure to SaaS platforms, tax technology, automation, digital transformation, or AI-enabled solutions is advantageous.
ACA, CTA, or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
