An established defence-focused technology programme is seeking an experienced GUI Software Engineer to support the development of advanced, real-time systems. The role sits within a highly technical environment, delivering mission-critical software used to solve complex, real-world problems.

You'll work alongside engineers and scientists on cutting-edge systems that are shaping future capability, contributing to long-term, high-impact projects rather than short-term fixes.

• Design and implement efficient, real-time software systems

• Develop new features within a complex Electronic Warfare software suite

• Contribute across multiple technical domains, including:

  • Array Processing

  • Communications

  • Sensors

• Apply new and emerging technologies where appropriate

• Support high-quality delivery through testing and modern engineering practices

• Strong C# experience for user interface development and associated services

• Strong C++ experience for services and DSP

• Experience with unit and system testing

• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices, including:

  • Version control

  • Continuous integration

• User interfaces for scientific or technical applications

• WPF for UI development

• SQL databases

• Modern communications technologies (e.g. REST, WebSockets)

• Exposure to Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms
