- £535 per day via Umbrella | Remote working
- Initial contract until the end of the year

- Work on the upgrade and enhancement of a highly customised laboratory information management system (LIMS)
ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client is delivering a major programme focused on the development, enhancement and upgrade of a critical Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This is an opportunity to join a highly specialised team working on complex, regulated systems that support essential laboratory operations. Due to continued project demand, they are looking for experienced Lead Software Developers with proven Thermo Fisher SampleManager expertise.
THE LEAD SOFTWARE DEVELOPER ROLE:
As a Lead Software Developer, you will play a key role in developing, configuring and integrating Thermo Fisher SampleManager. Working across the full software development lifecycle, you'll help deliver enhancements, integrations and platform upgrades whilst ensuring compliance within a regulated laboratory environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and customising Thermo Fisher SampleManager
- Configuring workflows, entities, forms, reports and dashboards
- Developing integrations with laboratory instruments and enterprise systems
- Building and supporting REST/SOAP and API integrations
- Writing and optimising SQL queries and database components
- Supporting migration activities from Oracle to PostgreSQL
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues and performing root cause analysis
- Collaborating with laboratory users and technical stakeholders
- Supporting testing, validation and deployment activities
- Producing technical documentation and supporting system governance
LEAD SOFTWARE DEVELOPER ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Commercial experience developing with Thermo Fisher SampleManager (v12.1 v or 21.3)
- Strong SampleManager configuration and customisation experience
- VGL development experience
- C# /.NET development skills
- Strong SQL and relational database knowledge
- Experience integrating enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs and web services
- Experience working across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with laboratory users and business stakeholders
