We're working with an established organisation operating within a highly regulated technology-led sector. They're engaging a DBA Contractor to support the build-out, standardisation, and compliance of database monitoring and audit capabilities across multiple environments.

THE DBA CONTRACTOR ROLE:
This contract focuses on creating consistency, visibility, and compliance across database infrastructure. You'll be responsible for defining and implementing monitoring, alerting, and audit frameworks across multiple deployments, with a strong emphasis on Elastic and SQL Server native tooling.
Key deliverables include:
Creating consistent, expandable Fleet Integration policies for database architecture
Configuring integrations to collect and surface database infrastructure metrics
Building a standardised set of rules, alerts, ILM policies, visualisations, and dashboards across four deployments
Configuring SQL Server native auditing to meet compliance requirements
DBA CONTRACTOR ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Strong experience with SQL Server
MySQL database experience
Elastic Stack (several years' experience, NoSQL)
PowerShell Scripting
GitLab
TeamCity
