ABOUT THE CLIENT

We're supporting an established connectivity and managed services provider working across major construction, engineering, and infrastructure projects. They deliver specialist network solutions, alongside in-house digital platforms, and are continuing to expand their commercial function due to sustained growth. This role plays a key part in shaping commercial strategy, governance, and enterprise client engagement.

THE CONTRACTS AND COMMERCIAL MANAGER ROLE

As Contracts and Commercial Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day commercial function, working closely with the Commercial Director to implement strategy, manage major enterprise contracts, and drive profitable growth. You'll lead commercial governance, pricing frameworks, budgeting, contract drafting, supplier negotiations, and risk management for large-scale connectivity deployments.

You'll collaborate with Sales, Technical, Operations, and Delivery teams to align offerings with client needs, support bids and proposals, and ensure commercial viability across all products and services. This role is central to customer growth, supplier management, and internal performance reporting, while also contributing to wider business decision-making.

CONTRACTS AND COMMERCIAL MANAGER - ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • 5+ years' commercial management experience within a B2B environment
  • Proven background negotiating and securing enterprise-level contracts
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and P&L alignment
  • Experience drafting and reviewing contracts, with good understanding of commercial legal frameworks
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership capability
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations
  • Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Able to interpret technical information

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Experience in telecoms, connectivity, construction, or technology services
  • Understanding of networks / connectivity solutions (satellite comms, 4G/5G, broadband, SD-WAN, etc.)
  • Supplier selection and commercial due-diligence experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to meet Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)
