THE OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for an experienced Endevor Administrator to join a leading financial services organisation on a 6-month contract. This role will be responsible for managing and maintaining mainframe source code management environments using CA Endevor, ensuring smooth release, version control, and deployment processes across multiple environments.

This position is ideal for candidates with strong mainframe administration and Endevor configuration experience, who thrive in collaborative development and release management environments.

THE ROLE

• Administer and maintain CA Endevor environments across multiple LPARs.
• Manage version control and change management processes for mainframe applications.
• Create and maintain processor groups, element types, and Endevor exits.
• Perform installations, upgrades, and configuration of Endevor software.
• Automate deployment, shipment, and archiving processes.
• Provide technical support, training, and guidance to development teams and users.
• Monitor system performance, ensuring adequate storage, backups, and system availability.
• Collaborate with release management teams to support production deployments.
• Maintain accurate documentation for procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with internal security and regulatory standards.

TECHNICAL SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

• 8+ years' experience in Endevor administration or mainframe application support.
• Strong working knowledge of JCL, TSO/ISPF, REXX, and CLIST.
• Experience with ACF2 or RACF for security administration.
• Familiarity with backup and storage management tools such as Tivoli Storage Manager.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with automation scripting and process optimisation.
• Understanding of COBOL, JCL, or other mainframe programming languages
