F5 Infrastructure Engineer

NEW CONTRACT ROLE - F5 INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER, 6-MONTH CONTRACT, ASAP START

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced F5 Infrastructure Engineer to support ongoing project delivery requirements within a dedicated F5 team. This role will focus on delivering and supporting F5 solutions across both production and pre-production environments, working with a mix of automated pipelines and legacy GUI-based configurations.

This opportunity will suit an engineer with strong hands-on F5 experience who is comfortable working in structured environments and contributing to complex change delivery.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for the design, configuration, and delivery of F5 infrastructure solutions, supporting project requirements and ensuring platforms are delivered in line with organisational standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering F5 project work through automated pipelines and manual GUI where required.
• Developing and maintaining F5 LTM and DNS configurations.
• Supporting and configuring Advanced Web Application Firewall (AWAF) and AFM ACLs.
• Supporting F5 platforms across production and pre-production environments.
• Ensuring compliance with organisational standards, security policies, and change controls.
• Supporting planned change activity, including out-of-hours (OOH) work where required.
• Collaborating with colleagues to provide technical guidance and shared problem-solving.
• Participating in knowledge sharing and study activity within an experienced SME community.

TECHNICAL SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

• Strong hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP platforms.
• Proven experience configuring F5 LTM and DNS.
• Experience supporting AWAF and AFM ACLs.
• Experience working in production and pre-production environments.
• Strong understanding of change, compliance, and operational standards.

Desirable:

• Experience with automation pipelines for infrastructure delivery.
• Exposure to public cloud environments.
• Scripting or automation experience.
• Willingness to upskill where required (training provided).
