ABOUT THE CLIENT

We're working with a fast-growing, engineering-led technology business building advanced infrastructure solutions. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to hire their first HR & Business Operations Manager to build the internal foundations required for scale.

THE HR & BUSINESS OPERATIONS MANAGER ROLE

This is a unique opportunity to build the people and operational infrastructure of a growing technology company from the ground up.

You will take ownership of the full employee lifecycle, from hiring and onboarding through to performance, development, and offboarding. Alongside this, you will establish the business processes that keep the company running effectively.

Working closely with the COO and leadership team, you will design and implement scalable systems across HR and operations. The focus is on creating structure, improving efficiency, and enabling sustainable growth. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and delivering day-to-day execution.

HR & BUSINESS OPERATIONS MANAGER ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Proven experience in HR or People Operations within a startup, scale-up, or SME environment
  • Experience building HR processes from scratch including onboarding, performance, policies, and compliance
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices
  • Exposure to business operations, process design, or internal systems
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, working closely with leadership teams
