THE SOFTWARE ENGINEER ROLE

You'll join a dynamic engineering team contributing to the design, implementation, and optimisation of business-critical software applications. Working with C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs, and MSSQL, you'll be involved across the full software development lifecycle - from analysis and design through to development, testing, and deployment. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical issues, contribute to code reviews, and help maintain high standards of code quality. There's a strong emphasis on staying current with emerging technologies and trends, with the team encouraged to drive continuous improvement. This role also involves reading third-party documentation and integrating with external systems, so comfort working with unfamiliar APIs and technical documentation will be valuable.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • 3-5 years' proven commercial experience with C#, ASP.NET, and Web APIs
  • Familiarity with MSSQL and proficiency writing effective queries
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, comfortable collaborating across diverse teams
  • Comfortable reading third-party documentation and integrating with third-party systems
