Software Engineer - .NET, C#, CI/CD, AWS, Microservices, Kafka- Greater Manchester

We are working with a well-established, technology-driven service provider that continues to invest heavily in its engineering capability. Due to growth, they are looking to add an experienced Backend Software Engineer to a collaborative Agile team.

This hybrid role is based between Liverpool and Manchester and is easily commutable from Warrington, St Helens, Bolton, Chorley, Wigan, Leigh, Skelmersdale, Southport, Preston, Manchester, and Liverpool. This is an opportunity to work on large-scale, business-critical platforms using modern .NET technologies.

As a Backend Software Engineer, you will work end to end across the full development lifecycle, building and maintaining scalable backend services. You will contribute to solution design, write clean and well-tested code, collaborate closely with other engineers and product stakeholders, and support the ongoing improvement of performance, reliability, and code quality.

Key skills and experience

• Strong commercial experience in backend development using .NET, C#, CI/CD, AWS, Microservices, Kafka

• Experience working in Agile delivery environments

• Solid understanding of algorithms, performance, and time complexity

• Ability to write robust, maintainable, and well-tested code

• Confident communicator with a proactive, problem-solving approach

Desirable experience includes exposure to full stack development such as React, Swift, or Kotlin.
