THE APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEER ROLE:
This is a highly technical support role suited to someone who enjoys getting under the bonnet of complex systems and databases. You'll be responsible for diagnosing and resolving application issues, writing bespoke SQL queries and reports, performing data modifications and bulk imports, supporting release and change management activities, and assisting with the setup of new client and demonstration environments.
The successful candidate will be comfortable reverse engineering systems, understanding complex database relationships, and confidently navigating large SQL Server environments without extensive documentation.
You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and customers, supporting critical business systems whilst helping to improve processes, performance, and reliability across the wider application estate.
