THE LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER ROLE:
As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll take ownership of guiding technical direction while remaining hands-on in the design and development of high-quality software.
You’ll lead on architectural decisions, set coding standards, and ensure best practices across development teams. This role combines leadership with technical delivery, including mentoring developers, shaping APIs and services, and driving improvements across tooling and processes.
Working closely with Product, Delivery, and Architecture teams, you’ll play a key role in delivering scalable, reliable solutions while managing technical risk and supporting continuous improvement.
LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET in production environments
- Deep experience with Azure services, including databases and messaging technologies
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerised deployments
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps
- Experience with observability tools (e.g. DataDog)
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support development teams
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders
