HPC Production Engineer
A leading global technology-driven firm is seeking a Production Engineer to join its High-Performance Computing (HPC) team based in London. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, influencing decisions that drive efficiency, scalability, and security across the organization. We are looking for a hands-on professional with deep expertise in managing complex Linux environments and a solid software development background to support highly customized, large-scale systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement technology strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead complex projects leveraging emerging technologies to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in high-performance computing (HPC).
- Hands-on expertise with parallel file systems (e.g., Lustre, GPFS), batch scheduling systems (e.g., Slurm, Grid Engine), and high-performance network interconnects.
- 5+ years of Linux systems administration experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language
- Proven track record in designing, building, and maintaining complex, distributed, and interdependent systems.
- Extensive experience in profiling and debugging application stacks using debuggers and performance profilers.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (SaltStack, Ansible, or Puppet).
- A strong commitment to root cause analysis and problem resolution.
