Strategic Business Analysis

Sellick Partnership is partnering with a national public sector organisation to recruit a Principal Business Analyst on a temporary basis to support a large-scale transformation programme.

This is a high-profile role operating at the centre of organisational change, where you will play a key part in shaping and embedding a new operating model. Working closely with senior leaders, you will provide strategic business analysis expertise to translate organisational objectives into practical, deliverable change across systems, processes and ways of working.

The responsibilities of the Principal Business Analyst will include:

  • Leading the review and redesign of business processes to support a new organisational structure and operating model
  • Acting as a bridge between strategic priorities and operational delivery, ensuring business needs are clearly defined and understood
  • Working with stakeholders at all levels to capture, prioritise and translate requirements into actionable solutions
  • Providing expert advice and challenge to senior leaders, supported by robust analysis and evidence
  • Overseeing the implementation and testing of new processes or technology-enabled solutions, supporting successful adoption
  • Evaluating outcomes and driving continuous improvement across the organisation
  • Contributing to programme governance, risk management and delivery assurance.

The ideal candidate for the Principal Business Analyst role will have:

  • Significant experience operating in a senior or principal-level business analysis role within complex organisations
  • Strong expertise in business process analysis, improvement and design, ideally within transformation or change programmes
  • Experience working across different delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
  • A track record of influencing senior stakeholders and leading engagement across multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
  • An organised and proactive approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes
  • A relevant business analysis qualification or equivalent professional experience.
