About the role:
We're supporting a medical device manufacturing organisation that is looking for an Analytics Engineer to join its growing data and analytics function.
This is a hands-on role for someone who sits between data engineering and business intelligence, with a strong focus on building reliable analytical datasets and turning them into useful reporting and insights for the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and maintaining analytical data models, including fact and dimension tables
- Developing and optimising data pipelines, transformations and SQL queries within Snowflake
- Ensuring data quality, consistency, documentation and traceability
- Integrating data from operational systems into analytical environments
- Building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports
- Translating business requirements into meaningful metrics, measures and visualisations
- Working with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and deliver practical solutions
- Improving the performance, usability and reliability of reporting and analytical workflows
- Supporting the ongoing development of the organisation's data platform and analytics capability
Skills/Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake
- Strong SQL skills
- Strong Power BI experience, including dashboard and report development
- An understanding of data quality, governance and documentation
- The ability to translate business requirements into effective data solutions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
