Data Centre Engineer

We are supporting a major global organisation that operates across large-scale, mission-critical environments and manages a vast portfolio of enterprise and hyperscale data centres across multiple regions. With significant investment in infrastructure and continued expansion across the UK, they are now hiring multiple Data Centre Engineers (day based) to support operations across sites in the South East.
Hands-on Data Centre Engineers
- Day to day: Designing, building, and upgrading data centre infrastructure.
- Strategy: Capacity planning (power, cooling, space) and optimizing for energy efficiency.
- Project Work: Managing infrastructure deployment, hardware installation, and new, complex installations.
- Maintenance: Developing and scheduling Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) plans.
- Documentation: Creating and reviewing technical reports and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Key Experience Required
- Experience working within data centres
- Strong understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health) systems
- Experience working with critical infrastructure such as:
- UPS systems
- Generators
- Switchgear
- Cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH/chilled water)
- BMS controls
- HVAP experience or exposure to high-voltage environments (desirable)
- Hands-on maintenance experience in live environments
