ICT Senior Analyst
ICT Senior Analyst Location: Appletree Court, Lyndhurst SO43 7PA Contract: Permanent Contract Pay Rate: £40,174 - £43,236 per annum Start Date: ASAP Main Purpose of the Role: To lead the support, enhancement, development, and implementation of assigned NFDC applications. The post holder will provide expert technical advice to the Council on assigned systems, ensuring functionality, security, and performance are maintained and improved.They will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement through performance monitoring, data analysis, and collaboration with the ICT Service Desk and wider ICT teams.Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional, efficient, and “right first time” support and development for assigned applications in line with SLAs.
- Manage customer change requests fairly and efficiently.
- Collaborate across ICT teams to continuously improve applications, maintain knowledge bases, and reduce recurring incidents (“shift left”).
- Produce monthly service delivery reports against SLAs, highlighting project milestones and achievements.
- Ensure compliance with ICT Security Policy and contribute to maintaining the ICT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan.
- Monitor contracts for assigned applications, flagging renewal or replacement needs in good time.
- Liaise with third-party suppliers and partners to maintain supported software versions and manage dependencies.
- Supervise and support Analysts, Graduates, and Apprentices, including performance reviews and daily task allocation.
- Ensure cross-cover arrangements for applications during staff absences.
- Promote innovation, efficiency, and customer focus while balancing technical and financial constraints.
- Support the Council’s safeguarding policies and undertake any required training.
- Substantial experience in ICT systems, including SQL Server or equivalent database management, report writing tools, and spreadsheets.
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent in ICT or a related field.
- Broad understanding of ITIL principles, particularly Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Proven track record of meeting SLAs and delivering projects on time.
- Experience implementing and supporting enterprise applications, including system upgrades and functional enhancements.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle during the working day.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical issues.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and improvement-focused.
- Previous supervisory experience.
